About Us

Our Chapter is located in Kansas City, Kansas. The KCK Sunflower Chapter of the International Association of Administrative Professionals® (IAAP®) consists of administrative professionals from many diverse backgrounds and organizations from the Kansas City area. While most of our members work or live within the county of Wyandotte, some of our members are from the outerlying Kansas City area. If you are looking for an organization that will help you learn, grow, and network professionally you have found it. Please attend one of our meetings and see what our chapter is truly about.

The KCK-Sunflower Chapter meets the 3rd Monday of each month from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the Kansas City Kansas. This year (2008) we have asked Providence Medical Center to provide us with a monthly meeting room. Please check the Events Calendar for directions and to check where the meeting will be held.

Our membership consists of approximately 25 members. Although we are a small chapter, we make big strides in providing educational programs, networking opportunities, seminars, office trends research and professional excellence tools.

Our meetings include an educational program and networking. Very little business is conducted at the Chapter meeting. The Board of Directors meet following the program. The Board conducts the business of the chapter at this meeting. All members are invited to attend the board meetings. Information is sent to members by e-mail and through our monthly newsletters. Special functions are held throughout the year to allow additional time for networking.

KCK-Sunflower Chapter is also very active in Community Service Projects. Our projects include the Salvation Army Angel Tree, Bethel Neighborhood Center, and MedicalLodge.

About IAAP

The International Association of Administrative Professionals is a not-for-profit professional association for office professionals with approximately 40,000 members and affiliates and nearly 600 chapters worldwide. The association founded in 1942 as the National Secretaries Association to provide a professional network and educational resources for secretarial staff.
